IN CONVERSATION WITH ELENA COLONNA
Celebrating Bridal Elegance at Rome’s Premier Bridal Event
As the bridal industry continues to evolve, Rome Bridal Week, taking place from 22 - 24 March 2026 at the Fiera di Roma in Italy, remains at the heart of innovation, craftsmanship, and Italian elegance. We sat down with Elena Colonna, Event Director of Rome Bridal Week, to discuss what’s in store for RBW 2026, the importance of celebrating the essence of bridal elegance, and how the show provides a platform for both “Made in Italy” brands and international designers looking to reach an Italian and global audience.
Q: Plans for Rome Bridal Week 2026 are already in full swing. Can you share your vision for Rome Bridal Week 2026 with us?
A: Rome Bridal Week 2026 is shaping up to be an extraordinary moment for the bridal industry. Our mission remains to highlight the essence of bridal elegance, showcasing designs that combine sophistication, craftsmanship, and the unique personality of each label. We aim to reflect the evolution of the bridal industry while providing a platform where innovation and creativity can truly shine.

Q: Why is Rome Bridal Week the perfect platform for brands “Made in Italy”?
A: Without any doubt, Rome Bridal Week is the true home for all Italian bridal labels. “Made in Italy” belongs in Italy, and for these designers, presenting their collections in their home country is also a necessity. Because “Made in Italy” is more than a label — it represents craftsmanship, attention to detail, and a tradition of elegance. At Rome Bridal Week, we see it as our responsibility to preserve and celebrate the heritage of Italian design, offering brands a stage to showcase their artistry to buyers, media, and fashion enthusiasts alike. While highlighting the timeless excellence of Italian bridal fashion.
Q: And what role does Rome Bridal Week play for international brands?
A: We also welcome international brands eager to reach an audience in Italy and beyond. The Eternal City provides an unparalleled backdrop — rich in history, style, and inspiration. For international designers, Rome Bridal Week is the ideal platform to connect with local and global buyers, press, and fashion experts, creating meaningful exposure in the Italian market.

Q: The timing of the show is often mentioned as a key factor. Can you tell us why?
A: Absolutely. Hosting Rome Bridal Week at the end of March is ideal. By this time, designers’ and manufacturers’ collections are finalised, and stores are making crucial buying decisions for the upcoming season. An earlier date, like some other Italian or international shows, simply wouldn’t align with the industry’s schedule. The timing ensures that everyone can make the most informed decisions and enjoy the full experience of the show.

Q: Can you share a bit about what exhibitors and visitors can expect from Rome Bridal Week 2026?
A: I’m incredibly proud of our team working behind the scenes to make this edition of Rome Bridal Week truly special. Our team is always approachable, always connected with exhibitors and visitors, and always goes the extra mile to ensure everyone feels welcome and supported. Plans are in full swing, and beyond a vibrant exhibition, visitors and fashion lovers can look forward to captivating Fashion Show moments that shine, creating a magical atmosphere filled with glamour, style, and inspiration.
Above all that, Rome Bridal Week is not just about fashion — it’s a celebration of the spirit of the Italian bridal industry, where creativity, craftsmanship, and elegance come together in an unforgettable experience. The excitement is building, and we will unveil even more details very soon — offering glimpses of the innovation, surprises, and unforgettable moments that define Rome Bridal Week
